Rolling Enrollment Skill-Based Certification Program

Our CGC program is designed to take your dog from solid obedience skills to real-world reliability and official AKC Canine Good Citizen certification.

This is a rolling enrollment program, meaning you can begin at any time and progress at your dog’s pace—without waiting for a new 6-week class cycle.

🎓 CGC TESTING REQUIREMENT

To be eligible for the official AKC Canine Good Citizen test:

✔ Dogs must complete a minimum of 6 CGC prep sessions
✔ Dogs must demonstrate readiness in required skills
✔ Testing is scheduled individually once readiness is confirmed

🏅 BEYOND CGC: ADVANCED CERTIFICATIONS

Once your dog earns their CGC title, you can continue advancing:

AKC COMMUNITY CANINE (CGCA)

• Advanced obedience in busier environments with increased distractions and longer duration requirements.

AKC URBAN CGC (CGCU)

The highest level of everyday manners—designed for confident, reliable public behavior in real urban settings.

These programs are ideal for owners who want a dog they can confidently take anywhere.

• Completion of Basics 1 & Basics 2 (or equivalent approved training)

• Minimum 6 CGC prep sessions before testing eligibility

• Proof of rabies and core vaccinations required
